I’ve been lucky to have the opportunity to travel to amazing places and experience unique adventures. Here are a few of those experiences.
Flying
Flying in airplanes, hot-air balloons, blimps, jets, ultralights, helicopters, aerobatic aircraft, and once in a biplane and once in a glider.
Sailing
Exploring the Ocean Floor with a Scientific Research Expedition.
Sailing with the Tall Ship Rose in New England and the Caribbean, and teaching at sea.
Traveling
I’ve enjoyed the opportunity to live for extended periods in Florida, Hawaii, California, Colorado, and Washington, D.C. I’ve visited Costa Rica and Alaska. Back in 1983, I backpacked around Europe for three months, traveled across the Arctic Circle, and spent a month in Ireland. I’ve been to 60 degrees North in Canada’s Northwest Territories.
